The event details are as follows:
10-10.45am: Guided beginners yoga by renowned Ashtanga Yoga Instructor Yossi Zur
11-11.30am: Guided meditation by Acharya Arun Gossai
11.30 onwards: Network with other participants
This year we are organizing this event to raise money for war widows in Sri Lanka. CORD Sri Lanka has been working relentlessly to help war victims in the North as the country emerged from 30 years of civil war. Some of these affected are war widows with absolutely no skills or means of livelihood. Your kind donations will be used to create income generation programs to empower these widows so that they can become independent and provide for their families.
The organization is registered under 501C(3) in the US and is tax deductible in the US. Every Step Matters, Every Dollar Counts, Every Person Makes a Difference!

About Chinmaya Organization for Rural Development: CORD is a secular non- profit organization that has impacted close to 700 remote villages (500,000 people directly and indirectly) in India and Sri Lanka over the last 28 years by providing sustainable solutions to poverty and unemployment as opposed to charitable giving. CORD has provided income generation activities for 13,000 villagers and also created several programs to resolve social issues including illiteracy, domestic abuse, female feticide, alcoholism to name a few.
