Guru Poornima Greetings

Chinmaya Mission New York

Dear Chinmaya Mission New York Family,

Pranaam and Hari Om!

On behalf of the board members of CMNY would like to extend hearty Guru Poornima greetings to all!

On a day so special such as this, we must take the time to reflect on the underlying significance of such a day dedicated to all teachers in our life. Gurus come in various forms such as Mother, Father, school teachers and Spiritual guides.  As a matter of fact, any person who removes ignorance and bestow wisdom in our minds is worthy of praise not only today but everyday!

The most important thing to be done on this day is not only remembrance of our Guru, but FULL service to the Guru! Poorna means complete or full. Our dedication to the Guru, correct actions based on the Guru's expectations, following the examples of the Guru and following the Gurus instructions is the highest of tributes and is the highest service to our Gurus.

In conclusion,  I once again wish all of you a wonderful day full of rememberance and service directed towards your Gurus in hopes that we better our lives and lives around us always! May the blessings of Lord Shiva,  Param Pujya Gurudev Swami Chinmayanandaji and Pujya Guruji Swami Tejomayanandaji be with all of us on this great day.

Jai Gurudev!

With Prem and Om,
Br Arun Gossai

HariOm!
